Booking the right act — tips for clients

Some acts carry our Vetted performer badge. Whoever you book, a good booking comes down to both sides knowing exactly what's been agreed.

  • Choose vetted performers first

Vetted acts have uploaded photo ID and passed Veya's approval checks — look for the “Vetted performer” badge and they'll appear first in your search.

  • See and hear them before you book

Watch their video or audio clip, browse the gallery and read reviews from completed bookings — the best guide to how they'll go down at your event.

  • Confirm date, area and timings

Check they cover your location, agree arrival, setup and finish times, and mention anything unusual about the venue — stairs, noise limits, outdoor space.

  • Put the details in writing

Agree song requests, set length, dress code and what's included in your booking chat and contract, so there's nothing left to chance on the day.

  • Pay through Veya when you can

Veya-held deposits aren't released until after the event and full payment. Direct payments to an entertainer aren't held or protected by Veya — agree those terms carefully.

  • Your booking is with the supplier

Veya is the marketplace and verifies acts as a point of trust, but your booking is an agreement between you and the supplier, who is responsible for delivering it. You provide accurate event details, access, power and space; they deliver what was agreed.
