Finding entertainment in London

London has the deepest pool of entertainers in the UK — and the widest range of prices. Whatever your event, someone brilliant covers it, but book early and budget for travel and parking.

The London scene

From West End session musicians to garage and house DJs, London acts tend to be specialists. The upside: you can find exactly your niche. The downside: peak dates and central venues carry premium rates.

Expect to pay 15–30% above national guide prices, plus travel for central postcodes.

Venue notes for London

Central London venues

Congestion charge, ULEZ and limited parking mean many acts add a travel fee. Agree it upfront.

Private members' clubs and hotels

Often require public liability certificates and PAT documents in advance — Veya performers can upload these to their profile.

Garden and marquee parties

Outer London boroughs are marquee country. Your act will need power and a level, dry performance area.

Booking tips

  • Send your act the venue's load-in instructions — many central venues have 20-minute loading bays.
  • Saturday nights in June and December can book out 6+ months ahead.
  • Confirm finish times: many central venues have hard 11pm or midnight cut-offs.
