Terms of use

Our role

Veya Entertainment is a marketplace operated by Veya Connect Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales on Companies House. We help organisers and entertainers find each other, communicate and agree bookings. Unless stated otherwise, the contract for a performance is between the organiser and the entertainer, not with us. We are not responsible for the performance itself, but we will help resolve problems where we can.

Accounts

• You must be 18 or over and give accurate information.
• Keep your login secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

For organisers

• Give accurate event details (date, location, timings and requirements).
• Pay agreed fees, deposits and any cancellation charges set out in the booking contract.
• Provide a safe working environment, including suitable power and access.

For entertainers

• Keep your profile, prices, coverage areas and availability accurate.
• Hold appropriate public liability insurance and keep equipment safe and PAT tested where required. Documents you upload must be genuine and in date.
• Honour accepted bookings. Fees or commission for your plan are shown in your account before you commit.
• You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance and licences (e.g. music licensing where applicable).
• Profiles are reviewed before appearing publicly, and we may decline or remove any listing.

Cancellations and disputes

Cancellation terms are those agreed in each booking contract. If something goes wrong, contact the other party first, then email us and we'll try to help mediate.

Reviews and content

Reviews can only be left after an eligible event and must be honest and lawful. Entertainers may dispute a review, which our team will check. You keep ownership of content you upload but give us permission to display it on the site to promote your profile. Don't upload anything unlawful, misleading, offensive or that infringes someone else's rights.

AI suggestions

Our "Find my act" tool uses AI to suggest entertainers. Suggestions are guidance only; please check profiles and details before booking.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses arising from a booking between organiser and entertainer, or for indirect or unforeseeable losses.

General

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
